The Supreme Court and Politics

As the highest court in the land, the Supreme Court is the final determiner of the nation’s law. The court can be a policy maker that moves a reluctant nation in new policy directions or that mirrors the current national mood. In this activity you will examine the constitutional and historical foundations of the power of judicial review and explore the legal parameters of the Supreme Court’s decision-making process.
