Ohio History

Since 2000, Sinclair faculty, staff, and students have created and maintained this web site devoted to the history of Ohio, including Dayton and the Miami Valley. This site supports the course HIS 218, The History of Ohio. There is much to see, but this is also a  work in progress. We hope you will visit the site often to see what's new. Click on a topic listed under "Ohio History" in the column to the left to find out more about links to other Ohio History websites, photos and text about the history of Dayton, the history of the National Cash Register Company (NCR), the underground railroad in Ohio before the Civil War, or the life and times of Dayton author Paul Laurence Dunbar. Look at projects completed by students in HIS 218. Please send any comments or questions to john.weaver@sinclair.edu.
