Flights is an annual literary magazine published by Sinclair Community College. Submissions from Sinclair students, faculty and staff, as well as from Dayton-area residents, are welcome. Submissions will be read from September 1 until January 31 of each year.

General Submission Guidelines  Submissions for all categories except Photography and Artwork must be in a text file format, 8.5"x11" document, 1" margins, and double-spaced.   Include full name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. Each individual will receive two issues of the magazine in which his/her work appears.

Categories are:

Fiction   Stories in any genre, from short-shorts of 50 to 100 words to longer stories up to 5,000 words. Query for longer lengths.

Poetry  Any subject, but no greeting card verse. No more than five poems may be submitted by any one author during a single reading period. Poems should be no more than 70 lines. Query for longer lengths.

Creative Non-fiction  Essays on any subject will be considered, up to 5,000 words. Query for longer lengths.

Photography and Artwork   Black and white photos and artwork will also be considered for publication. Address to Professor Tim Waggoner, Flight Magazine Submission, and drop off at Sinclair Community College, 444 West Tlhird Street, Room 6-323.
