Philosophy
The program facilitates the success of students and the achievement of Sinclair's mission of community development. It awakens the potential and talent of students by enabling them to see their personal and professional goals in the diversity vision of the college. It develops the competency of students in applying innovative technologies and utilizing their creative learning styles in the community. It enhances the educational experience and credentials of students by making their education more relevant and holistic. It prepares student for further study in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences and eventual employment in public and private occupations and professions like engineering, chemistry, law, medicine, social work, psychology, and education. It imbues students with a multicultural understanding of themselves and their community and motivates them to become social activists and change agents. It also empowers students with the skills and the will to combat racial intolerance and to promote racial harmony.
