Application and Interview Process

To begin on the Honors Scholar Path the student must complete an Honors Scholars Path Application Packet. This should be done by the prior to the students last semester at Sinclair

In addition to the application you must submit the following to the Honors Program Office:

  • A short essay explaining why you would like to take the Honors Scholars Path
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation from educators (high school or college)
  • An unofficial Sinclair transcript (this can be printed from Web Advisor)

There is a rolling deadline for this application, however it takes 4 – 6 weeks to process the applications and schedule your entrance interview, please keep this in mind when completing you application.

Once all of these items have been received, you will be contacted with an appointment day and time for your Honors Scholar entrance interview.

This Interview gives the Honors Director(s) and members of the Honors Council a chance to get to know a bit about you and to explain what their expectations are for an Honors Scholar student.

The Interview panel will consist of at least one Honors Director and one Honors Council member. There will be no more than 3 people in the interview panel.
