Overview

While online distance learning is one solution to a tight schedule for both traditional and nontraditional students, it also presents its own set of challenges. Successful online distance learning requires that students assess their level of committment to non-academic activities and responsibilities (e.g., job, family, business, recreation) and find time to participate in the course to the best of their ability. This module covers time management tools and skills to fit the individual student's needs.

Learning Objectives
After completing this module, the student will be able to:

  • List and prioritize life responsibilities
  • Manage those responsibilities more effectively
  • Use the Calendar function in WebCT to manage course assignments deadlines and life responsibilities

Assessment
When you've completed the activities for this module, ask yourself: How will I meet the challenge of committing enough time to my online distance learning course in order to perform to the best of my ability?
