Overview
Perhaps most basic to success in online distance learning is knowing exactly what level of technology is required and how to get the most out of your computer and the internet. Many online courses include interactive animations or movies, video components, and/or audio files that enrich your learning experience; having the right software and hardware, an adequate and dependable internet service provider and the right browser for the course you wish to view are key to accessing these course features. Whatever your level of experience using computers and the internet, the activities in this module will help prepare you for your online DL journey.

Learning Objectives
After completing the module the student will be able to:

  • Recognize the basic components of a computer
  • Know the basic computer equipment requirements for most online distance learning courses.
