I've registered for On-Base classes, now what?
Welcome to Sinclair Community College at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base—we’re glad to have you! Please follow these next steps to attend classes at Wright-Patterson:
Step One: You must have a student pass to attend classes at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base! In compliance with the policy of the United States Air Force (USAF) and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Sinclair is required to provide the following information to the USAF on all students who will attend a course at WPAFB:
- Student’s full name
- Student’s social security number
This information will be used by the USAF to complete a background check that is required before a student pass can be issued to enter the base.
If you do not wish to have this information released as outlined above, you will need to officially withdraw from the course through Web Advisor or by calling Sinclair at 937-512-3000. If you are still enrolled in the course on September 28, 2009, your name and social security number will be forwarded to WPAFB to obtain a student pass.
If you register for a Wright-Patt class any time after the Fall quarter Open Registration period ending August 31, 2009 (up through the start of the term), you will have 24 hours from the date of registration to drop your class if you do not wish to have information released as outlined above.
Step Two: Pick up your student pass. For Fall "D" term classes, your pass will be available for pick-up beginning Monday, October 19th, 2009. If you register during Wright-Patt Late Registration (anytime after October 12, 2009) call one of the Wright-Patt Coordinators first to find out the date you may obtain your pass. Go to either of the facilities listed below and provide a valid driver's license to obtain your student pass.

Step Three: Print your classroom guide and base map. Click here to view the base map! The map shows points of entry for Area B and routes to the facilities listed above. All classes are held in Area B, Building 50, (denoted on the map by the Sinclair logo).
The Classroom Guide will be posted on the Wright-Patt Neighborhood Center website www.sinclair.edu/wpafb one week prior to the start of the term. Please be sure to check the start date for your class, because Wright-Patt offers multiple short-term classes with varying beginning and ending dates. Print both the base map and the Classroom Guide, and bring them with you on the first day of class! There will also be an onsite facillitator at Wright-Patt to assist you in finding your classroom.
Please remember and observe the following on base:
- cell phone use while driving is prohibited, except with a hands-free device
- seatbelt use is required
- drivers are required to carry current vehicle registration and proof of insurance in their vehicle at all times
