Online (sections -TC thru -TY (not TP))
Using a computer, modem and Internet account, these courses are available for the current term on Sinclair's web site at www.sinclair.edu\bulletin.
This delivery format is a great way for students to interact with each other and their instructor from a distance. Students can access information and assignments, send e-mail to their instructor and fellow students, participate in discussion forums and link to other resources.
Some online courses combine videotape lectures with this format. These videotapes must be purchased from the Bookstore and can be viewed at home or in the LRC's Media Services area. The vast majority of online courses are offered completely over the Internet.
Videotape (VHS format) - T1 Section
Instead of attending courses in a classroom on campus, students can get course lectures in the form of videotapes for viewing at home. Videotapes and textbooks are purchased by students at the beginning of each academic term from the Bookstore. Most examinations are conducted on campus, but if the distance from campus is prohibitive, arrangements can be made to have examinations proctored at a distant site. Please read "Testing Information" for these details.
Students must meet specific deadlines established by the instructor and course requirements must be completed within the term of course enrollment. This requires motivation and determination. The student must budget his or her own time appropriately, keeping up with the course requirements, and taking responsibility for completing the course within the eleven-week term. To be successful, students are advised to read the syllabus thoroughly and stay on top of their assignments.

Live Interactive Television - V Section
Using audio, video, computers and other technologies, students attending class at various sites simultaneously learn within a live, interactive classroom where course presentation encourages active participation. The instructor teaches the course on Sinclair's main campus from a sophisticated electronic classroom. The course is transmitted live to off-campus sites equipped with a special receiver antenna, a classroom monitor, and a telephone. Off-campus students can ask questions and discuss issues via telephone. They can see and talk to the instructor and their fellow students in the campus class. They even take tests at the off-campus site.
