Should you experience any concerns about your distance learning courses, either before or during the term, you will want to resolve them in a timely manner.
- Faculty – For any questions regarding your actual course material, submitting projects/assignments, making up missed assignments/tests or having a conflict with test dates, you must contact the faculty member teaching this course. Faculty name, including phone number and email address, can be found on the course syllabus.
-
Student ID Number – This is a nine-digit number assigned to you by the Office of Student Registration & Records (Bldg. 10/2nd floor) once you have submitted your application for admission and remains your ID number during your time at Sinclair. This student ID card, also referred to as a ‘Tartan Card’, can be obtained directly from the Registration Office. Or if you live beyond 60 miles of campus, one will be mailed to you from the Distance Learning department to your home address. You will need this number to log into your online classes, when you order course materials from the Tartan Campus Store and for parking. You may obtain this number by referring to your current term fee bill (upper left hand corner) or contact Distance Learning (937/512-2990 or, 1-888-226-2457 toll-free).
- Testing – All placement and/or academic testing is completed in Sinclair’s Testing Center (Bldg. 10/Room 10-445) for all local learners taking distance learning courses. Academic testing is available Mondays - Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. -- except during the Summer quarter).
- If you are a non-local learner using a Test Proctor, you will need to print and complete the required proctor form and mail or fax it to the Distance Learning office by the first day of the term you will be attending.
