(NOTE: Travel and Tourism, TNT, is under the Business Technologies Academic Division.)
WHAT IF I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO A COMPUTER OFF CAMPUS? IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES?
WHAT IS THE MY.SINCLAIR WEB PORTAL? TELL ME ABOUT MY E-MAIL ADDRESS HERE AT SINCLAIR.
When students first register for courses they are provided an account in the college’s portal system http://my.sinclair.edu. You receive an e-mail account and access to online tools for your courses. The college will be sending to your e-mail account, and many instructors use this method to communicate with students and some post grades, etc. You must check your e-mail regularly, or forward your my.Sinclair mail to an account that you check everyday. Instructions and information for using the my.Sinclair web portal can be found at http://www.sinclair.edu/mysinclair/.
DO I NEED TO SEE A BUSINESS ACADEMIC COUNSELOR BEFORE I REGISTER FOR CLASSES?
It is strongly recommended that students who are either “new” first time; “new” transfer; or “returning/former” (have not attended continuously for several quarters), work with a Business counselor for at least the first two to three quarters, (or until you have completed your pre college—DEV courses). During your first quarter’s scheduling visit with the counselor, they will review your placement test results; discuss any remaining pre college—DEV courses needed; answer any program/course related questions; review all transfer credits, and explain your TNT program requirements. After that, it will not be necessary to see a counselor every quarter prior to registration. Only students with an academic status of “probation” are required to see a counselor for stamped approval of their quarterly schedules. You should print a copy of your Degree Audit prior to each quarter’s scheduling. You can access it from the Web Advisor tab at www.my.sinclair.edu/ or from any on campus In-Touch Information kiosk.
If you need to see a Business counselor, they are located in Building 6, Room 6131. You can contact them by email at: businesscounselors@sinclair.edu or by phone at: (937)-512-3054, or in person. . They are available for walk-ins and limited appointments:
Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
WHEN SHOULD I SEE A BUSINESS ACADEMIC COUNSELOR?
o Clarification of College policies or procedures
o Questions on transfer credit application (from outside of Sinclair or other divisions at Sinclair)
o Change or adjustment of a Business degree program major (Either the Web Advisor at www.my.sinclair.edu or from the Business Division web page www.sinclair.edu/academics/bus)

The last two digits are the designated room numbers where the class will be held. For example: if your class is held in 13-4 26; the 13 is building 13, the 4 is the fourth floor, and the 26 is what room your class will be held. [13-038… the 0 indicates the Basement level]
