“Prof h= onored for work against domestic violence

 

Dayton—Mike Brigner, an associate professor in Sinclair Community College’s paralegal program and a former Montgomery County domestic relations court judge, was recently chosen to receive a Partners for Peaceful Relationships award from the Ohio Domestic Violence Network.

   &nbs= p;        Brigner was recognized for his commitment to ending violence against women and children.

   &nbs= p;        Brigner teaches two domestic violence courses at Sinclair and trains judges, prosecutors, law enforcement, court personnel, social workers, and health c= are providers around the country on the subject of domestic violence.  He is a founding member of the Ohio Supreme Court’s Domestic Violence Advisory Committee and the Family Violence Prevention Council of the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services= .

   &nbs= p;        Brigner’s work against domestic violence has been recognized on three occasions by Dayton’s Artemis Center for Alternat= ives to Domestic Violence.”
