Dear Member of the Legal Community: It is time to celebrate Dayton area paralegals. The State of Ohio recognizes the contributions of paralegals to the legal profession by proclaiming Paralegal Day each year. This year will mark a few changes. The Sinclair Community College Paralegal Program will host the 2013 Paralegal Day Celebration on Friday, April 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the Tartan Marketplace (Building 7).
ATTEND! Please join your colleagues in the legal community, including judges, attorneys, and paralegals. While we all enjoy desserts after lunch, we can help congratulate the Outstanding Paralegal of the Year and the Outstanding Law Firm (that shows the best professional use of its paralegals) to those individuals and firms nominated and selected by their peers. Plus, several deserving students will receive paralegal scholarships.
___ Individual reservations for the event are available for $15 per person.
SPONSOR! In addition to your attendance, we are also seeking your help in sponsoring this event, at one of three levels. Here’s a change you will appreciate. Since we shifted to a luncheon format, the sponsorship levels are reduced by half this year:
___ Silver Level, $50, includes your firm’s name in the program as Silver Sponsor and two reservations to the event
___ Gold Level, $125, includes your firm’s name in the program as a Gold Sponsor, and up to five reservations to the event
___ Platinum Level, $250, includes your firm’s name in the program as a Platinum Sponsor, and ten reservations to the event
___ Professor Debbie Badonsky Paralegal Scholarship Fund. We are also accepting contributions to the new scholarship fund honoring this veteran paralegal educator upon her retirement after 35 years of teaching.
Checks should be made out to Sinclair Foundation - Paralegal Day. Contributions and reservations should be made as soon as possible, but no later than April 10. NOMINATE!If you wish to nominate a paralegal, or firm, or both, for Outstanding Paralegal and Outstanding Law Firm Awards, just fill out the nomination forms and return them by mail or by FAX (512-2069) no later than April 5, 2013.
