Department Programs
Various degree concentrations are available within the Hospitality Management & Tourism Department (see links below). The core program, Hospitality Management & Tourism (HMTT) prepares students for a career in RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT. The concentrations in Hotel Lodging, Meeting & Event Planning, Tourism, in addition to the Culinary Arts Option are geared more specifically to enhance the training and internship experience in those particular segments of the industry. See ACADEMIC ADVISING CENTER for more information, or use the helpful information for "Returning Students" or "Graduation Tips" available at the "Need2Know" link. ________________________________________________________________________ The department is currently working on a Baking/Pastry short term certificate, and pending approval of the Board of Trustees, expects to have the new program available in the very near future...check back soon for updates! (Note: Fall 2009 "Barista Operations" HMT 297-01 is being offered on Friday's from 8:00-9:40. This course will be a required course on the Baking/Pastry program.) The department recently submitted a request to offer a 15 credit hour SHORT TERM BAKING CERTIFICATE which is pending approval.
