Various degree concentrations are available within the Hospitality Management & Tourism Department (see links below). The core program, Hospitality Management & Tourism (HMTT) prepares students for a career in RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT. The concentrations in Hotel Lodging, Meeting & Event Planning, Tourism, in addition to the Culinary Arts Option are geared more specifically to enhance the training and internship experience in those particular segments of the industry. (Note: Fall 2009 "Barista Operations" HMT 297-01 is being offered on Friday's from 8:00-9:40. This course will be a required course on the Baking/Pastry program.) The department recently submitted a request to offer a 15 credit hour SHORT TERM BAKING CERTIFICATE which is pending approval.
