EMT-Basics find employment with fire departments, emergency medical services, private ambulance companies, hospitals, and within industry. Starting salaries range from $19,000 to $28,000. EMT-Paramedics are typicall employed in the same types of locations with salaries from $25,000 to $40,000. Many EMT's hold other full-time jobs and work with volunteer fire departments and emergency medical services.
