EMT-Basic Refresher (EMS 120) Winter and Summer quarters (Sinclair Credit course)
Ohio EMS board approved content. Includes key content from National Standard Curriculum for EMT-Basics for National Registry re-certification. Emphasis on assessment and initial basic management of the critically ill and injured patient including medical and traumatic emergencies. Two lecture and one lab hour per week.
The EMT-Basic Refresher is a 2.5 credit hour course offered Winter and Summer quarters. The course meets on Saturdays 8:00am - 5:00pm. There is NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED FOR THIS COURSE - You may register in person, over the phone, or online.
EMT-Paramedic Refresher (EMS 150) Fall and Spring quarters (Sinclair Credit course)
This course meets all Ohio state requirements as a paramedic re-certification course. Designed for the practicing paramedic, EMT 150 places emphasis on assessment and initial management of the critically ill and injured patient including medical and traumatic emergencies.
This is a 4 cr. hour course offered Spring and Fall quarters. Meeting time is on Saturday 8:00am - 5:00pm. There is NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED FOR THIS COURSE - You may register in person, over the phone, or online.
EMT Basic Advanced Airway Reciprocity Course - This certification is offered for EMT Basics who were trained outside of Ohio and who were not trained on Advanced Airway (a requirement to become a licensed EMT Basic in Ohio). This course is offered inside of our already existing EMT Basic course. The student will attend a lecture, lab practice, and lab test as well as complete out of classroom assignments to complete the 12 hour requirement by the state. Those wishing to attend these sessions must schedule through the EMS department office. EMS - Instructor Course -
We will be offering a EMS Instructor course fall, 2009. Dates for the course are as follows:
August 8, 15, 22, 29 and September 12, 19, 26. Time: 08:00-17:00 (with an hour for lunch)
Full Course Cost: $300
Bridge course cost: $50
