The Clearcreek Township Police Department is accepting pre-testing applications from qualified persons to establish an eligibility list for part-time police officers. Individuals meeting the qualifications as indicated on their pre-testing application will be provided a comprehensive information packet explaining the selection process that includes: physical fitness assessment, written examination, oral interviews, personal history evaluation, psychological assessment, polygraph examinations, and medical examination.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens at least 21 years of age. They must have one year of police experience consisting of a minimum of fifteen hundred (1,500) hours of service OR two years of college with an associate degree or be classified as a junior in a bachelor program with a current OPOTA basic training certificate or letter of completion and not be out of active police service/academy for more than one year at time of appointment.
Starting salary for a part-time police officer is $17.08 per hour with 13.55% OPERS contribution. Clearcreek Township residency is not a requirement. Pre-testing Applications can be obtained at the Clearcreek Township Police Department in person or by mail (telephone 937-748-1267)
