ELMs \ MSDNAA Process Walkthrough for Students

From getting login id to getting software


1) During the first week of the quarter you will automatically be registered into the MSDNAA program.

2) Sometime that first week you should receive an email containing your username and password from user Import system_mail@e-academy.com

a. If you have your my.sinclair.edu email account forwarded to another email address, you may not receive this email. Please turn off the forwarding rule.

3) When you get your email go to:http://www.sinclair.edu/msdnaa or http://msdn04.e-academy.com/sinclaircc_cis

a. Click on LOG IN
b. Type in your username and password
c. Click on LOG ME IN! i. If you typed in your information correctly, but are being redirected to the login screen. Please make sure all pop-up blockers are turned off.

4) Click on the SOFTWARE TAB

a. Click on the drop down box that says SEARCH BY PRODUCT TITLES. From the drop down list choose the product you want by clicking on it. Then click the GO button to the right of the drop down box.
b. The next screen shows the product you chose and the Deliverable methods for you to choose from. The deliverable methods are Mail Order/Shipping, or Download. Choose the method the best suits your needs by clicking in the radio button associated with that Deliverable method you
c. Click on ADD TO CART

5) If Using MAIL ORDER / SHIPPING METHOD

a. Next Read the MSDN Academic Alliance –Student Use Guidelines and at the bottom click on I AGREE
b. Read the IMPORTANT message and then click on CONTINUE
c. On the VIEW SHOPPING CART screen click on CHECK OUT
d. Fill in mail order / shipping information and Click NEXT>>
e. Choose shipping options and click NEXT>>
f. On the CUSTOMER INFORMATION screen check to make sure the information is correct and then leave checked or uncheck the WISH TO SUBSCRIBE box and click NEXT.
g. On the ORDER CONFIRMATION screen, choose YES to proceed NO to go back to VIEW SHOPPING CART
h. Follow rest of Instructions and when you are finished. They will mail the CD to you.
i. Repeat steps 6 on for rest of software you want.

6) If Using the Download Method

a. Next Read the MSDN Academic Alliance –Student Use Guidelines and at the bottom click on I AGREE.
b. On the VIEW SHOPPING CART screen click on CHECK OUT
c. On the CUSTOMER INFORMATION screen check to make sure the information is correct and then leave checked or uncheck the WISH TO SUBSCRIBE box and click NEXT.
d. Click on Download on the order details page under Item.
e. Print out the software page for your records. This page contains your serial number.
f. Once you print out the page, select download. In some cases your file will download as an ISO file. If this occurs, you must burn the ISO file to a cd using the create image file from most burning software.
