Sinclair Community College has been notified by the Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency that it has been designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAE2Y). The college will officially be honored at the Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education (CISSE) on June 11, 2012.
Sinclair Community College, in Dayton Ohio, is one of the leading two-year institutions in the country and serves nearly 25,000 students each quarter. Sinclair is a member of the League For Innovation in the Community College.
As part of the League, Sinclair is one of the twelve Vanguard Learning Colleges serving as incubators and catalysts for the Learning College concept by working to build on values that place learning first throughout their institutions.
Sinclair and the other Vanguard colleges are developing and strengthening policies, programs, and practices across their institutions with a focus on the five project objectives: organizational culture, staff recruitment and development, technology, learning outcomes, and underprepared students. Sinclair is accredited by The Higher Education Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
