Franklin University's Community College Alliance program is providing our FREE Annual Fall 2008 Accounting Seminar "Capitalize on Your Career Interest. The Accounting Seminar is on Friday, November 14 with registration starting at 8:15 a.m. and the seminar ending at 3:15 p.m. By attending the "Capitalize on Your Career Interests Seminar", you'll be joining other accounting faculty and students for a day of discussion and discoveries about:

 

9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Current Trends in Accounting by Boyd Search, Vice President, Education & Training, The Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants

 

11:00 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. Getting the Truth - A Look at Effective Interviewing Techniques by Randy Walker, Certified Polygraphist, Randy Walker, LLC

 

11:50 a.m. - 1:20 p.m. Lunch and a presentation on Franklin's Community College Alliance Program by Bob Morris (Also, time to visit professional booths)

 

1:20 p.m. - 2:10 p.m. The Impact of Information Technology (IT) on Accounting by Wendi Finn, CPA, CISA, President, IS Security Solutions

 

2:10 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) - What to Expect by Rally Zerhouni, CPA, Senior Auditor, PricewaterhouseCoopers

 

The seminar will be held at Ross Auditorium on Franklin University's main campus in downtown Columbus, Ohio.

A continental breakfast, morning snack and buffet lunch will be included.
