Brief Description of Programs:

Kettering University has a long and distinguished history in the Dayton area. Remembered by many as GMI Engineering & Management Institute, the school which is located in Flint, MI, became Kettering University in 1998 in recognition of the profound effect Charles F “Boss” Kettering had on the school, on cooperative education and life as we know it.

All undergraduate students at Kettering University alternate terms of full-time study on campus in Flint with terms of full-time paid professional cooperative education experience in industry. Students co-op with over 700 employers located in 43 states. Most students are able to live at home during their co-op terms.
