Ways to Improve Poor Grades
|
Repeat Rule Policy (Courses taken more than one time)
-
Most recent grade and credit hours are used in calculating the grade point average (GPA). Exception: Courses that are shown as “repeatable” (R) in the course description area of the Sinclair catalog are counted each time they are taken.
-
Second grade is used in calculating the GPA in place of the original grade. Any future repeat of the same course causes the grade to be “averaged”. Exception: All “W,” N,” and “X” grades are excluded.
-
All grades remain on the transcript even if not counted in the cumulative GPA.
-
Students should check with their funding source to determine rules for courses taken more than once.
