To date, Sinclair Community College has engaged 21 certified minority and women-owned businesses for a total of $1,396,158.20 in Tier I spend during the 2011-2012 fiscal year.
Additionally, the College has generated $61,946.07 in Tier II spend which brings the cumulative total to $1,458,104.27 in MBE spend. This accounts for 5.7% of the college's total volume.
Sinclair's long-term objective is to attain 14% of its annual volume in MBE spend. The College seeks to accomplish this goal by cultivating and sustaining minority economic inclusion through a number of vehicles including networking at the local, regional, and state levels, enhanced MBE marketing and education, and refined monitoring and granulated capture of spend.
