Students with high grade-point averages are often eligible for a number of different scholarships.  Consult the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office website for requirements to apply for Sinclair scholarships.

Honors Scholars are eligible for Academic Excellence Scholarships on admission to the program, regardless of how many credit hours they have.  (Non-Honors Scholars are eligible too, but must have completed at least 36 credit hours before applying). 

Honors Scholars may receive up to six Academic Excellence scholarships, maximum $400 per quarter (up to $2400 total).  Part-time students and those with other financial aid may receive less than the maximum; the amount is adjusted each quarter based on the number of students applying as well as other variables.

New applicants must fill out a FAFSA and a financial aid scholarship form.  Please note that Sinclair's code for the FAFSA form is 003119.  Continuing applicants (those already awarded at least one Academic Excellence scholarship) need only update their FAFSA form and request another award in writing. Honors Scholars should notify the Director of their wish to be considered for an Academic Excellence scholarship before the quarter begins.  Because it is GPA-dependent, the money will normally not be awarded until just before classes start (when the previous quarter's grades are available); reimbursement is made to students who have already paid their tuition and fees.
