Students with high grade-point averages are often eligible for a number of different scholarships.  Consult the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office website for requirements to apply for Sinclair scholarships.

Honors Scholars who have completed 36 credit and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 are eligible for Honors Program Scholarships (formerly called Academic Excellence Scholarships)

Honors Scholars may receive up to six Academic Excellence scholarships, at a maximum of $400 per quarter (up to $2400 total).  Part-time students and those with other financial aid will receive less than the maximum; the amount is adjusted each quarter based on the number of students applying as well as other variables.

New applicants must fill out a FAFSA and a financial aid scholarship form.  Please note that Sinclair's code for the FAFSA form is 003119.  Continuing applicants (those already awarded at least one Academic Excellence scholarship) need only update their FAFSA form and request another award in writing. Honors Scholars should notify the Director of their wish to be considered for an Academic Excellence scholarship before the quarter begins.  Monies are normally awarded just before classes start (when the previous quarter's grades are available); reimbursement is made to students who have already paid their tuition and fees.
