Clearly state what you are asking for
The purpose statement tells the grant reader why you are asking for grant money.
- Write a purpose statement that is a one-sentence, direct, concise explanation of what the funds are sought for.
- Example: Sinclair's Center for Energy Education is requesting a $150,000 grant to plan three new exhibits on alternative energy and to acquire the equipment needed to complete an expansion.
