A New Era - (1998 - present)

 

1997

Dr. Ned J. Sifferlen is appointed fourth president.

1998

Montgomery County voters approve a 2.5 mil replacement levy to support the college.

 

Center for Interactive Learning and Automotive/ Environmental Technologies buildings open.

1999

For the ninth time in ten years, Sinclair Board freezes tuition for Montgomery County residents.

2000

Provost Steven Lee Johnson is appointed.

 

The Learning Center opens at Miami Valley Research Park.

2001

Sinclair named one of only 12 Vanguard Learning Colleges.
Sinclair renames Building 20 the John E. Moore, Sr. Technology Center.

Integrative Medical Massage Therapy program begins.

2002

Sinclair celebrates 30th anniversary of modern day campus.
Sinclair President Dr. Ned J. Sifferlen announces retirement.

2003

Dr. Steven Lee Johnson appointed as Sinclair’s fifth president.

2004

Dr. Stephen Jonas, Vice President for Administration, retires after 20 years of visionary leadership.
