In addition to meeting monthly during the academic year, SDIC also has an annual summer workshop to plan the overall program for the coming year. The specific objectives for 2004-2005 include:

Explore ways to improve the evaluation of professional development and training with the overall objective being the improvement of student learning.

Establish a "forum of sharing" which allows employees who have participated in professional development activities to share with a wider campus audience the results of their training/development.

Increase the awareness and support of supervisory personnel related to professional development needs of all employees.

Increase communication related to professional development opportunities and how to apply for those activities.
