ABOUT SINCLAIR

What is Make a Difference Day

Make a Difference Day is a national tradition spanning 17 years, including this year's events on October 21 and 22nd , 2011.  It is the largest national day commited to people helping each other--working in unity to achieve common goals.

Ohio adopted Make a Difference Day in 1998, and since then has been the leader in the number of service activities and projects completed on the day.

Sinclair students, faculty, staff, alumni, Board of Trustees and friends of Sinclair are invited each year to reserve one day and lend a helping hand with one or more of the many projects that are listed on the Join Hands Mimai Valley web site accessible through the United Way Volunteer Connection page located at volunteerdayton.org.

Sinclair faculty are encouraged to use Make a Difference Day opportunities as Service Learning projects within their courses. Faculty may contact the Service Learning Coordinator for additional information at 937.512.5040 or service.learning@sinclair.edu.

Thank you to everyone who will participated in this year's event.

You will really Make a Difference!
