Action Item #1: Propose policy or procedural changes where warranted to improve student success (team leader: Rocky Belcher; team members: Jared Cutler, Patrick Fleming, Tina Onder, Jane Hofverberg, Judy Kronenberger, Phyllis Salter, Marilyn Rodney)
a. Early required completion of English writing sequence
b. Establishment of Learning Communities
c. Inclusion of Service Learning
d. Early integration of SCC 101 into programs
e. Early assessment, completion, and integration of computer literacy outcomes
f. Develop an assessment process for student academic support areas (tutorial services, help rooms, etc.)
10-11 Outcome Goal: Review the policies and procedures that currently exist to improve student success.
Action Item #2: Ensure the continuation of the annual process that engages Sinclair faculty in the integration and assessment of general education across the curriculum (team leader: Penelope Parmer; team members: Dave Collins, Roxanne DeLaet, Chuck Freeland, Dottie Bely, Ed Gallo, Lalitha Locker, Marilyn Rodney)
a. Address basic skills, skills transfer and integration in the following:
· Information and Computer Literacy
· Written/Oral Communication
· Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
· Values, Citizenship, and Community
b. Analyze, assess, and report general education findings through studies in first year student success course and capstone courses.
c. Continue the annual collection of data
d. Create report and disseminate results and opportunities for improvement
10-11 Outcome Goal: Broaden faculty engagement and accountability in using gen ed results for improvement.
Action Item #3: Ensure continued alignment with USO in general education (team leader: Lori Zakel; team member: Kjirsten Goeller, Karen Fleming, Sarah Kiewitz, Teresa (Prosser) DeMonico, Gloria Goldman)
a. Analyze existing General Education courses for alignment with OBOR requirements, success in Top 45, measurable competencies, frequency of offerings, etc.
b. Assess relevancy and currency of general education measurable outcomes
a. Update outcomes where appropriate
b. Establish on-going process for assessment of outcomes
c. Develop/review course sequence outcomes
d. Integrate Honor Code
e. Analyze existence of general education outcomes throughout programs of study
10-11 Outcome Goals: Determine gen ed core in semester system; complete pilot of entry/exit direct measures of general education outcomes.
Action Item #4: Improve program and general education assessment of student learning at the department/program level. (team leader: Jared Cutler; team members: academic deans and/or assistant deans)
a. Collect, interpret, and use data to improve student learning
b. Analyze and report results on an annual basis
c. Develop a candid analysis of the college’s performance with respect to student outcomes, with a special focus on low-income students, students of color and others who face barriers to success (AtD)
d. Strengthen departmental assessment and general education as part of the department/program review process
e. Examine quantitative and qualitative data and present findings in a clear and compelling way that shows where the college is doing well and where it needs to improve student success (AtD)
10-11 Outcome Goal: Develop repeatable process for annual update review; review annual reports, recommend improvements, and hold conversations about assessment methods and results.

a. Develop new Curriculum Management Tools in support of integrated assessment, curriculum, and general education and with semester conversion
10-11 Outcome Goal: Implement CMT v2 (articulation and transfer) and review and update program review process with focus on university parallel
