Sinclair Community College's Assessment Commitee operates under a strategic plan. The plan outlines the working projects, initiatives, and actions as well as identifying the individuals responsible for leading the team and the team members for each of those. Until 2005, the Assessment Committee and the General Education Committee operated under different strategic plans; in 2005, it was mutually agreed upon that the plans should be integrated into one and should focus on the tools, methods, and processes that would identify direct measures of student learning. This is a far more ambitious plan than the previous. The annual reports of the Action Item Teams will record the progress of each team as it relates to their charge.
