I. BASIC SKILLS - Reading, Writing, Numerical Skills

Are students completing courses and progressing through programs at reasonable rates?

Are students progressing to and succeeding at the next level of education?

Are students from different subgroups succeeding at comparable rates?

Are assessment tests placing students in courses appropriate for their skills?

DATA SOURCES: Course completion information, tracking study, course transfer information, Carl Perkins Study, ACT Study.

II. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN THE MAJOR - Career Programs

Are students attaining learning outcomes?

To what extent do students master content in their area of specialization?

Are students prepared to enter and/or work in their field of study?

Are students successfully completing programs?

DATA SOURCES: Learning Outcomes Report of 1996, graduate surveys, employers satisfaction, success in licensure exams, retention/persistence study.

III. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN THE MAJOR - Transfer Programs

Are students prepared to succeed in a four year college program?

What percent succeed in completing the Bachelor's Degree?

To what extent do students master content in their area of specialization?

IV. GENERAL EDUCATION SKILLS - writing, math, humanities, communication, computer literacy

Are students achieving a broad general education?

To what extent are students successful in achieving a minimal level of competency in general education?

DATA SOURCES: General education assessment, graduate survey, employer satisfaction.

V. CAREER DEVELOPMENT/PLACEMENT

Are students finding jobs in the area of their education?

Are students provided with skills appropriate for the work world?

Have students' experiences at Sinclair contributed to career advancement, salary increases, job satisfaction, etc.?

Are employers satisfied with the level of job performance of graduates from Sinclair?

VI. LEVEL OF EDUCATIONAL GOALS
