Acceptable Use of Technology Policy

Click here to read the   Sinclair Acceptable Use of Information Technology Policy

Sinclair values technology as a means of communicating information and ideas to the Sinclair community and the general public. To help ensure college information technology resources are primarily devoted to Sinclair's education mission, and in keeping with our commitment to provide maximum technological resources to Learning-Centered education, we are striving to develop policies and procedures to provide direction in the appropriate use of all forms of information technology resources on campus or directly supported by the College.

The intent of these policies and procedures is not to restrict our valued principles of academic freedom, freedom of speech, and privacy, but rather to ensure our finite technical resources are equitably distributed and learning-centered. One of the policies is the Acceptable Use of Information Technology.

The Sinclair Board of Trustees approved this policy on September 9, 2003. The effective date for the Acceptable Use of Information Technology Policy is September 9, 2003, although we have been operating with this policy as Interim Guidelines before its approval by the Board.

The Acceptable Use Policy contains important information about the use of Sinclair’s information technology resources. All users should review the policy’s contents. To access this policy, click on the link below:
