Mission
To continuously improve our delivery of affordable, quality, lifelong learning opportunities by providing and leveraging an effective set of Information Technology tools which enhance student learning and facilitate student success.

Vision
Sinclair’s information technologies will provide a comprehensive platform of high technology tools that are easy to understand and use, and facilitate processes so that any student, faculty, or staff can perform all of his/her academic and administrative functions in a highly productive and efficient manner, and where students can actively explore and personalize their educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Identifying short- and long-term technology direction and understanding of how information technology supports and enhances the essential services of the learning college; providing input on technology capabilities, requirements, and budget priorities to ensure alignment of IT strategy with Sinclair's strategic plan; and, implementing innovative, effective, and efficient technological solutions.
  • Oversight of all aspects of academic and administrative core information technology resources and systems, including telecommunications infrastructure (data, voice, and video network services), Internet/Intranet services, and learning resources/media services.
  • Developing overall strategies for systems development, hardware/software acquisitions and integration; determining policies and procedures, technical standards and priorities. Collaborating with faculty, administrators, and staff to fully integrate information technology into the College's instructional and administrative unites to enhance Sinclair's management and operations. Overseeing development of new technologies for the infrastructure to expand academic and administrative plans. Developing, maintaining, and enhancing strategic technology partnerships with schools, colleges, business/industry, and vendors.
  • Participating on College committees in ongoing strategic planning processes to integrate information technology into curricular and administrative processes. Planning, managing, and coordinating administrative and instructional technology initiatives and projects.
  • Planning and developing technological and human infrastructures necessary for assessing, training, and supporting all information technology related activities on campus. Working closely with other organizational units to provide support-including training and development activities for faculty, staff and students-for the use of information technology to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative processes.
