College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

The College Board offers nationally standardized CLEP exams that may allow learners to earn college credit for knowledge aquired through on-the-job training, professional development, etc. CLEP exams are offered at the Sinclair Miami Valley Research Park location and other sites across the nation. When you take a CLEP exam, request that your scores be sent to Sinclair Community College (code 1720). If you have already taken a CLEP exam and not had your scores sent to Sinclair, contact the College Board for an official transcript. CLEP exams are offered locally at the following locations:

POLICIES:

  • A student must have made application to Sinclair Community College.
  • No more than 30 credit hours may be earned through CLEP, articulated credit, proficiency examination, AP, DSST and ACE credit and applied toward degree requirements.
  • Credits earned through CLEP examinations do not apply toward college residency requirements.
