ABOUT SINCLAIR

Transfer and Articulation

The Ohio Board of Regents, following the directive of the Ohio General Assembly, developed a statewide policy to facilitate students' ability to transfer credits from one Ohio public college or university to another in order to avoid duplication of course requirements.  The following opportunities are available to assist you:

  • Articulation Agreements
  • Ohio Transfer Module
  • Transfer Assurance Guides (TAGs)
  • u.select (Formerly CAS)
Additional information regarding credit transfer in the state of Ohio can be found at the University System of Ohio website http://www.uso.edu/

In addition to the above opportunities, Sinclair Community College recognizes that students gain college-level knowledge and skills through life and work experiences outside of academic settings.

Life itself is an excellent teacher.  What you already know may be worth valuable course credits at Sinclair.  Prior Learning Assessment is a process of identifing learning gained through life or work and assessing it for college credit.  Several options are available for receiving credit for work previously completed or for knowledge and experience.  The listing below is a summary of those options.

  • Advanced Placement Program (AP)
  • College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
  • Defence Activity for Non-Traditional Educational Support (DANTES)
  • Portfolio Evaluations
  • Proficiency Exams

For additional information on any of the above listed opportunities call 937-512-2800.

(Please note: for information about sending a transcript of your Sinclair credits to other schools, please see “Ordering a Transcript' at http://www.sinclair.edu/services/registration/records/transcripts/.)
