Lawrence "Larry" Porter, President of LPA, Inc., was appointed to the Board of Trustees by the Montgomery County Commission.  His original appointment began September 28, 2000.  His current appointment began July 9, 2002, and runs through July 9, 2007.  Larry founded his company in 1994 and its major focus is brokering research and development at universities and small businesses.  He has extensive Department of Defense and Air Force experience in both line and staff management.  Larry holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Tennessee State University and an MBA from the University of Dayton.
